|I have HealthPartners insurance and need to be seen for my back pain. What does HealthPartners require me to do before making an appointment?|
As of January 1, 2012, HealthPartners has implemented a new medical policy that requires you to do certain steps before we can schedule an appointment.
After your primary care physician has evaluated your pain, you will then be referred to a Designated Medical Spine Center (MSC). The MSC would then complete a comprehensive evaluation and recommends a treatment plan. After this visit is completed and your appointment with us has been authorized, you may then visit with one of our neurosurgeons.
