Dr. McCue earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering, and a doctorate in medical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
He graduated from Harvard Medical School and completed a surgical internship at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH).
He completed his neurosurgical residency at the University of Minnesota and a pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at the Children’s Hospital, Boston.
He joined Neurosurgical Associates in July, 2001.
Dr. McCue is a Fulbright scholar who has published widely in the neurosciences. He is board certified in neurosurgery and is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
Since 2013, Dr. McCue has served as an Unaffiliated Neurotrauma Consultant for the National Football League and the NFL Players Association.
In 2015 & 2016, he was named a Top Doctor in the MPLS/St. Paul Magazine.
He is currently performing surgery at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Children’s Hospital (Minneapolis), and the Hennepin County Medical Center.
