Why choose a neurosurgeon?
Neurosurgeons are trained as both brain and spine surgeons. They are the only physicians who surgically treat the brain and the entire spine; including the spinal cord and nerves.
Neurosurgeons are often thought of as only brain surgeons. Actually, Neurosurgeons receive more training, education and experience in brain and spine surgery than any other physician. In addition to medical school, neurosurgeons attend a seven year residency program which provides rigorous, comprehensive surgical training.
