Jocelyn Black, R.N., BSN, PHN attended Metropolitan State University and graduated with high honors.

For many years, Jocelyn was a registered nurse on the neurosurgical patient floor at Abbott Northwestern Hospital supporting our patients. Jocelyn was a preceptor, charge nurse, and mentor during her years at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. She also participated on several hospital committees which served to determine safe practice policies and improve the bedside nurses’ efficiency while maintaining or improving quality care and patient outcomes.

Jocelyn received the Carol Huttner Award for Patient Care Excellence: a recognition of her ability to work effectively and collegially with other nurses, physicians, therapists, patients, and their loved ones.  Jocelyn also received the Abbott Northwestern Hospital Award of Excellence for her action as part of a team during a specific critical episode.

As of 2017, Jocelyn became a Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse.

Jocelyn is one of our triage nurses at our Minneapolis location.
